Wendy has always been a favorite here at the farm. Since she was bottle-raised so she’s incredibly attached to us and loves nothing more than being by our side. We approached Renee at Wolfivan Ranch when it was clear that she had something special in Joyful Hearts KR Phoebe. We picked a first freshener Phoebe daughter, Wolfivan Maca Root. Little did we know just how special Maca root is!

Wendy's first two freshenings produced singles, which was a little disappointing from a milk production standpoint, but her sweet temperament and easygoing nature made her worth keeping no matter what. In 2024, when her dam’s littermate, Wolfivan CQ Ginger Root, won the ADGA National Championship, we realized just how special Wendy’s pedigree truly is and knew she deserved to be paired with an exceptional buck.

That opportunity came in 2025, when Jordan from Flying Feet’s offered us the incredible chance to breed Wendy to Agape’s Prize French Kiss. French Kiss is the son of GCH Agape’s Prize French Quarter 4*M, the 2022 and 2025 National Champion and Best Udder doe, and he is also a grandson of the 2017 National Champion SGCH Old Mountain Farm Merriment 3*M.

Wendy has continued to improve with each freshening. Her third kidding produced quads, and her milk supply and udder quality both stepped up beautifully. On test, she peaked at 4.5 lbs a day, easily earning her AR milk star. Her dam, Wolfivan CQ Maca Root, set the bar high as well, earning her star as a first freshener with 1,033 lbs of milk, 90 lbs of butterfat, and 48 lbs of protein in just 262 days.

From her 2025 pairing with French Kiss, we retained both a doe and a buck kid—combining Wendy’s wonderful temperament with some of the strongest proven genetics in the breed.
